To unite, educate, empower and engage young people from diverse backgrounds in nation building, ensuring their voices are heard by decision-makers. The Youth Parliament serves as a training ground for future leaders and policymakers, providing a platform where young individuals can discuss critical issues and lead campaigns to bring about positive change in their communities, country and the world.

History

Youth Parliament was founded on 14th August 2005 by Mr. Rizwan Jaffar, making it the first initiative of its kind in the country’s history. It was launched during the 100th episode of his renowned youth talk show, Café Vision, aired on Indus Vision TV Channel in Karachi. Since its inception, the Youth Parliament has become a pioneering platform for youth empowerment, earning the title FlyOnTop (First and Largest Youth Organizational Network & The Hope of Pakistan). The organization has set a record by organizing over 1,000 programs, events, activities, social campaigns and TV shows, a feat unmatched by any other organization in Pakistan. The Youth Parliament has provided young people with a recognized platform to advocate for their rights, develop leadership skills and actively participate in social and political initiatives. It plays a crucial role in youth engagement by empowering individuals to initiate and lead activities that drive positive change.

INTRODUCTION

Youth Parliament Pakistan, founded by Mr. Rizwan Jaffar on August 14, 2005, is the first of its kind in the nation’s history. Its mission is to unite, educate, empower, and engage youth from diverse backgrounds in nation-building by ensuring their voices are heard by decision-makers. The organization serves as a platform for transforming young leaders and politicians who discuss issues and run campaigns to make a positive impact on their society, community, country, and the world.

The Youth Parliament boasts a vast network of youth volunteers across Pakistan, including Sindh, Punjab, Baluchistan, KPK, Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir, as well as international youth representatives in various countries. It involves young people of different backgrounds, religions, languages, and races in meaningful activities and programs aimed at personal and national development.

The organization has received numerous accolades, including the National Volunteer Award (2008), Sindh Volunteer Award (2009), Who’s Who International Recognition of Achievement Award (2018), National Youth Award (2021), Made in Pakistan Recognition Award (2023), and Rotary International District 3271 Climate Change Award (2023).

Recognized as the first and largest youth platform in Pakistan, the Youth Parliament has conducted over 1,000 programs, events, activities, social campaigns, and TV shows. It provides a platform for youth to advocate for their rights and empowers them through engagement. The Youth Parliament has a strong network of over 40,000 alumni and 3,000 active members working at provincial and federal levels. It is committed to implementing the UN Sustainable Development Goals at the district level in Pakistan.

Connecting more than 60 cities and districts, the Youth Parliament is a catalyst for change chosen by politicians, bureaucrats, artists, thinkers, social activists, media personalities, intellectuals, policy makers, lawyers, educators, business leaders, and youth activists. Its TV shows have raised awareness about Pakistan’s issues among millions, and thousands of young women have used the platform to voice their rights, significantly enhancing social interactions.

About Founder & Chairman

M. Rizwan Jaffar is a renowned Pakistani entrepreneur, social activist and television anchor. He is widely recognized as the founder of Youth Parliament, the first initiative of its kind in the country’s history, launched on 14th August 2005, during the 100th episode of his famous youth-focused talk show Café Vision, aired on Indus Vision. He is also the founder of Made in Pakistan Movement and Jadeed Pakistan Initiative, both dedicated to fostering national development and modernization.

Currently, he serves as the host & anchor of HAMARA PAKISTAN a show broadcast on GTV News. His honors include Quaid-e-Azam National Leadership Award (2025), Rotary International District 3271 Climate Change Award (2023), Made in Pakistan Recognition Award (2023), National Youth Award (2021), Rotary International-Paul Harris Fellow Recognition (2021), Who’s Who International Recognition of Achievement Award (2018), Medal of Merit – President’s Award (2016), Asia Pacific Regional Scout Certificate Award of Good Service (2015), Sindh Volunteer Award (2009), National Volunteer Award (2008), President’s Gold Medal for the Best Scout of Pakistan (1994). He is also the Country Ambassador of Alliance of NGOs & CSOs for South-South Cooperation ANCSSC, Charter President of Rotary Club of Karachi Blues, Rotary International, District 3271, Consultant and Brand Ambassador of World Organization of the Scout Movement.
